Intense Puls Light Treatment

Lumecca is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment that targets vascular and pigmented lesions. Ideal for clients struggling with hyperpigmentation, sun damage, rosacea, spider veins, and more.

How Lumecca Works

Age spots, freckles, and other discolorations are removed using the multiple wavelengths the Lumecca device uses to deliver energy into your pigment-producing cells. These cells absorb energy as heat, which destroys them.

The IPL laser constricts the blood vessels that cause vascular lesions. When the blood vessels constrict, blood is rerouted to healthier vessels. At the same time, your lymphatic system flushes away destroyed vessels. The result is a more radiant and even complexion.

What Areas Does Lumecca Treat?

You can use it everywhere on the body to achieve a clear complexion. The most common places are the: face, neck, décolleté, and hands as these areas are often exposed to the sun. However, arms, legs, shoulders, bald heads, and backs are becoming quite popular requested areas to be treated as people are looking to tackle sun-damaged skin.

What To Expect

Lumecca is a fast treatment that delivers results in just three treatments. Each Lumecca treatment lasts about an hour. We space out your treatments over several weeks so your body has enough time to respond and recover before the next Lumecca session.

During treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 48 hours, you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterward, the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. Rosacea and red hues on the skin will lighten and disappear within the first week.

After treatment, you will need to avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning one month prior to treatment. Liberally apply sunscreen daily post-treatment. Some clients may need annual touch-ups if stubborn spots start to reemerge after sun exposure or new capillaries come to the surface over time.

Price ranges depending on the area of the body: $75-$550/ treatment.
